Hi, Can you please let me know if these tiles are suitable for a shower enclosure? ThanksOur Advice

Hi Chris, These tiles are glazed ceramic and suitable for use in wet areas. However, as with any shower or wet room tiling situation, the walls to be tiled must be made waterproof before tiling commences. Many boards are waterproof straight from the box (such as Jackoboard), but other substrates such as plaster, plasterboard or Hardi Backer boards can be coated in a tanking membrane, such as the Ardex WPC: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ardex-tile-preparation-sealants-ardex-wpc-waterproof-protection-coat Regards Walls And Floors

How heat resistant are these? Could these be used for a stove surround/fireplace?Our Advice

Hi Cass, Ceramic tiles are fired at approximately 1000 oC during manufacture, which gives them a natural heat resistance to most domestic situations including around wood burners. We would advise these tiles are fixed with a heat resistant adhesive such as the Palace Heat Resist: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/palace-heat-resistant-tile-adhesive-10-kg Regards, Walls and Floors
