Description
Description
'Raku firing' is a Japanese technique that dates back to the 1550s! It uses all of the Earth's elements - fire, wind, earth and air - and creates an incredible glaze on ceramic, which varies in tone and texture each time. When applied to tiles, this creates a beautiful bespoke variety across a wall space!
Exclusive to Walls and Floors our new Raku collection has been inspired by this treasured traditional technique, and it perfectly captures the tonal variation, the texture, and the crazing that Raku firing is famous for. Choose from 7 fabulous colourways, and bring this masterful Japanese look into your interiors.
You will find each tile has 6 different colours within the face and 35 different variations within this.
Please note, the score lines on our Raku tiles require grouting, please choose from a wide range of colours to create your unique style.

Q & A
Hello Maisie, Yes, these tiles are suitable for usage as a fire surround, as long as they are installed 4-6 inches away from the actual heat source. You need to ensure you are using a fire-resistant adhesive, such as the below: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/mapei-adhesive-keraquick-grey-tile-adhesive Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.
Hello Saf, I can confirm this tile is a 400x200 rectangle tile however it gives an effect as though it is made up of 6 smaller rectangular tiles, I would suggest ordering a sample to see the true size of the tile,
Hi Kath You can lay these tiles in whichever direction you like to make whatever pattern you like, just make sure the right type of primer and adhesive is used. Regards Walls and Floors
Hello Jess, Thank you for your query, We would recommend using a 2mm spacer, I have attached a link for this below, https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/2mm-spacer-cross-500pk-box-qty-15 Kind Regards Walls and Floors
Good afternoon Aydan Thanks for your query. These tiles would be fine for a shower area or a wet room. Kind regards Walls and Floors
