Purchased vencchio indigo mix tiles what colour grout do I wantOur Advice

Hi Eve The grout colour for your project is personal preference, although a popular choice for these tiles is Mapei Ancient White: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ultracolor-plus-123-ancient-white Kind Regards Walls and Floors

What colour grout is recommended for these tiles please? Thank youOur Advice

Hi Jacqueline, It looks like a cream-coloured grout is used in the images, something like the below: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/mapei-ultracolour-plus-grout-ultracolour-plus-131-vanilla-tile-grout However, grout colour is a complete personal preference, so you can go for whatever colour you like! Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.

Can I use these tiles in my kitchen as an upstand/splashback around the kitchen counter? I’m wondering, due to their rustic nature, whether they’d be easy to clean for kitchen cooking grease etc..Our Advice

Hi Tanya Many thanks for your query. Yes, these tiles would be perfectly suitable for use as a kitchen splashback. They are glazed ceramic tiles so easy to wipe clean and do not require any additional sealing or maintenance. Kind Regards Walls and Floors

Can you use these on the wall in a shower? Thanks BOur Advice

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. These tiles can be installed on walls providing they are of sufficient construction to support the weight. The tiles weigh approx 25kg including the fixing materials. Plaster can only support 20kgs per sqm, but bare unskimmed plasterboard (32kg limit) or Hardiebacker (100kg+) would be suitable backgrounds: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/tile-preparation-sealants/hardiebacker-board-james-hardie Shower wall needs to be tanked with the BAL WP1 Tanking kit to ensure it is fully waterproof. Once the wall is suitably prepared, we would recommend they are fixed with a flexible cement-based adhesive, such as our Stand Flex: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/bal-tile-tools-prep-maintenance-wp1-waterproof-shower-kit https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-standard-flex-grey-tile-adhesive If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales Team on 01536 314730, and they will be more than happy to help you. Regards Walls And Floors

I know some folk have asked about the suitability of this for the surround of wood burning stove, but just to understand, does that means it's also okay for use around the sides and behind a wood burning stove? ThanksOur Advice

Hi Karen Yes, they can. But being glazed ceramic we would recommend a minimum of 6-8 inches clearance from the appliance to provide adequate ventilation and heat dispersion, to minimise the possibility of crazing. If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales Team on 01536 314730, and they will be more than happy to help you.
