What is the slip rating on these please? We are considering using for a family bathroom floor. Thanks Our Advice

Hi There, These tiles do not have a slip rating as they haven't been tested. They are a matt tile, however, so they will have slight resistance. As long as a bath matt is placed on the floor, these will be okay for a bathroom floor. Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.

my builders ordered 2m2 of the Spellbound Matt Black Tiles and Spellbound Matt White Tiles to create a black and white tiled floor in my bathroom. They have done a terrible job of laying the tiles and claim that this is because the black tiles are a different thickness to the white, or perhaps each tile is a different thickness. Please would you confirm the thickness of these tiles and how much variation in thickness there is. Thanks RuthOur Advice

Hello Ruth, Thank you for your query, I can confirm both the matt black and the matt white have a thickness of 6mm, Kind Regards Walls and Floors

Could you confirm if these are 200mm x 200mm or 197mm x 197mm. Both dimensions are mentioned in the description/specification. ThanksOur Advice

Hi Glyn 200x200 is the nominal size which is more of a guideline rather than an exact specification. These tiles can vary slightly in size from one batch to the next which is why we use the nominal sizing. But in reality, these tiles do come out at 197x197and sometimes 198x198. We would recommend obtaining a sample from our current batch to ensure you are happy with the dimensions, before making your final decision. Regards Walls And Floors

Hello, The Matt White tiles 200X200 have a grade of 4. The matching sized black tiles have only a grade of 1. Why is there such a difference? Our Advice

Hi Kathryn Glazed tiles are given wearing grades relating to surface abrasion (ISO10545-7). The grades are given based purely on the visibility of scratches on the surface following the test, where a series of metal ball bearings are pressed against them and swirled around. The strength of both tiles are identical, but it is natural among all tiles that scratches in a glaze will be more visible on darker solid colours than light. So if you had equal scratches on both tiles, it may not be visible on the white, but may be more noticeable on the black, hence the difference in wearing grade. Grade 1 tiles can still be used on floors in very light foot traffic areas, such as bathrooms, however, it is recommended that they are only walked on with bare feet or specific soft-soled indoor footwear. If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you. https://ideas.wallsandfloors.co.uk/request-a-callback Regards Walls And Floors
